Tony Scales Ben Nevis In Amazing Feat Of Perseverance
Congratulations to Year 3 pupil Tony who has now achieved his ambition of climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon). Having already scaled Snowdon in August 2020 when he was just six-years old and Scafell Pike in May last year, Tony conquered Ben Nevis over the Easter break. While most of us were eating chocolate and relaxing, the eight-year-old and his Dad battled extreme conditions to reach the peak. Ben Nevis is 1345m (4,413 ft), making it the highest mountain in Britain. We are so proud to hear of Tony's strength, determination and refusal to give up - all valued Heath Mount qualities! What an incredible achievement for someone so young. We wonder what his next challenge will be?
