Pupils experience the charm of yesteryear!
Year 1's Victorian Seaside Day provided a wistful look at bygone days! In the morning, the children enjoyed a host of craft activities: making sandcastle flags, decorating shell trinket boxes, crafting cork sailing boats and writing postcards. In the afternoon, they visited the seaside 'promenade' to spend their shillings and farthings at the stalls. The children tried their hand at traditional games such as 'shove ha'penny', bagatelle and hook a duck, and visited the tearooms. The day ended with a fun Punch and Judy show with plenty of audience participation. What a fun way to bring the seaside to the countryside!
