Pupils Push Their Boundaries At Dukes Barn
Last week our Year 5 pupils departed headed from Hertfordshire to the beautiful Peak District for an adventure-packed three days at Dukes Barn with their teachers. The trip consisted of several outdoor activities including abseiling off a disused railway bridge, exploring an underground natural cave system, and stream scrambling along Beeley Brook. They also enjoyed a low ropes course and indoor rock climbing as well as an exciting night hike.
The teachers were so proud of the children who really pushed themselves outside their comfort zone and supported each other at every turn. Find out more about our Outdoor Education Programme by following this link: Heath Mount Outdoor Education
My favourite activity was caving because I'd never explored an underground cave before! - Sam
I loved the abseiling! I was scared at first but then once I'd done it, I wasn't scared any more." - Charlotte
