On Saturday we welcomed over 500 Heath Mount families and staff for our first ever Colour Run in aid of Twende Education For All in Zambia. The morning started with a fun warm-up courtesy of Mr Naylor and Mrs Archer which got everyone in the party mood. As everyone reached the start-line, Mr Gillam started the official countdown and our colour marshalls released a vivid cloud of colour. With the sun blazing down and not a cloud in the sky, our walkers and runners set off on the first lap of the 5k course, admiring the spectacular views across the Woodhall Estate. At each colour station, Heath Mount's colour marshals were ready to blast everyone in colourful powder and by the time they reached the end our participants were well and truly covered in rainbow shades. Then it was time to enjoy the event village which featured a bar with ice-cold drinks, fantastic BBQ, pizza and ice-cream vans, cakes and sweets.
Thank you so much to our team of volunteers and to the Woodhall Estate for giving us such a beautiful and challenging course. Enjoy our highlights film, below:
