On Tuesday our Year 2 pupils learnt all about Florence Nightingale and her mission to clean up conditions at Scutari Hospital during the Crimean War. They took part in a range of craft activities including making their own quill pens which they dipped in ink to write their job applications to work at the hospital. The children, who were dressed up in a fantastic array of Victorian costumes, also made medals from Queen Victoria for her brave soldiers.
