Reception's Spring Show Tackles Climate Crisis
Reception pupils called an urgent 'news conference' to tell us about a planet emergency and hosted a recycling-themed game show in their brilliant production this week. They reminded their audience why it is important to care about our Earth and how we can all make a difference. There were some wonderful songs about why we need trees, the importance of recycling and how we should care for the planet; the children even sang in French to show their love of nature!
This term the children read the book ‘Michael Recycle’ by Ellie Bethel which inspired the children to do more about recycling, reducing waste and reusing things in our school. They have also been litter picking around the school to maintain our beautiful natural environment and to keep it safe for the local wildlife.
