Remembrance 2024

Boys stand with bowed heads in front of a backdrop of poppies as they read names of Heath Mount pupils who lost their lives in the world wars

Paying Tribute to the Heath Mount Fallen

This morning, the Prep school gathered to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country and in particular, the Heath Mount fallen. Our Remembrance Service, kindly led by the Reverend Nick Smith, featured poignant readings and music, including a performance of Greg Gilpin's 'In Flanders Fields' by the Bax Choir. Year 8 pupil Osa performed the Last Post before a minute's silence was held, followed by the National Anthem.  Afterwards, poppy wreaths were laid by the Headmaster, Revd Smith and our Head Boy and Head Girl at the Watson Room Memorial which is dedicated to past pupils who lost their lives in both World Wars.

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."
