Heath Mount’s passion for all things poetry was clear in this year’s annual Recite! event, culminating in our Showcase on Wednesday this week. Over the last week, every pupil in Years 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 bravely stood in front of their peers and delivered a poem that they had learnt by heart.

This year, we were delighted to see old favourite poets such as Michael Rosen and Roald Dahl mixed in with newer works, including many self-penned pieces receiving their world premieres. Congratulations to all of our children for filling the school with poetry!
