U11,U12 & U13 Netballers All Headed To National Finals

Heath Mount is the only school to have all three years represented at IAPS National Finals This Year

IAPS UK has confirmed we are the only school in the country which will be represented in all 3 National Netball Finals following the success of our U11 and U13 girls at Regionals (U12s do not have a prior qualifier).

Last Friday, our U13 netballers became Regional IAPS Champions at Ipswich School, following in the footsteps of our U11 team.  They won 14-4 v St Faith's, 17-5 v Langley, 14-9 v Barnardiston Hall, 13-4 against Bishop's Stortford College in the semi-final and 18-5 v Felsted in the final.

The U13 team, who were last year's U12 National Champions, will be looking to aim high in the finals at Cranleigh.  All three finalist teams are coached by our Assistant Director of Sport, Miss Sophie Meister - 2023's Netball One Teacher Of The Year, Level 2 Coach, U19 PDP assistant coach at London Mavericks and Assistant coach at England Universities.  The girls are also fortunate to be supported by Miss Brooking, who is Ex Head of Netball at Cheltenham School and also a Level 2 Coach.

2023-24 was a historic year for Heath Mount netball, with the U12 and U13 teams winning the National IAPS championships and U11 team achieving bronze. This year's season has had a very positive start with the girls dominating the East Region competitions.  Training for the big competitions has involved travelling around the country to schools such as Millfield, Canford, Harrodian School, Warwick Prep, Cheltenham School and many more.

We wish our U12 team luck as they travel to Millfield School this week for their National IAPS final on Thursday.
