Golden Girls Win Title For Second Year Running
We are thrilled to announce that our U13 netballers have won the IAPS National Finals at Cranleigh Prep School today. The girls continued their golden journey from 2024 when they were crowned U12 National Champions and were delighted to win again today following months of dedicated training.
The team won their first game 8-5 against Fettes followed by wins against Whitham Hall (7-3), Dean Close (7-4) and the quarter final against Hoe Bridge before securing their place in the final with a 13-6 victory against Edgeborough. They held their nerve for the final, winning 17-12 against Holmewood House to the sound of cheers from their coaches, Miss Meister and Miss Brooking, and their proud parents.
Next up for some finals action are our U11 netballers, current regional IAPS champions, who will play in their national final at Bryanston on Wednesday. We wish them luck!
Our IAPS netballers have benefited from high-performance netball training with our Assistant Director of Sport, Miss Meister, as well as specialist strength and conditioning training thanks to our unique PE programme. Our U12 and U13 teams also take part in our sports scholars programme which provides bespoke coaching for our most dedicated athletes, including workshops with visiting coaches and pro netballers.
In 2024 we celebrated two sets of national netball champions (U12 and U13) as well as a bronze finish for our U11 team.
